Biography
Jure Goručan is a young
Slovenian pianist and percussionist. Born in
Ljubljana in 1992, he took his first piano lessons in Tržič, continued
in Jesenice with Professor Elizabeta Demšar Zupan, ending in Koper with
Professor Selma Chicco. Currently he is a student of the renowned
Professor Arbo Valdma on the Music Academy of Cologne. He is regular
participant of piano seminars and festivals in many European countries.
He mostly takes part at summer and winter academies, led by his
professor in Croatia, Liechtenstein and Estonia – since the age of
thirteen he regularly performs a piano concerto with the orchestra.
Jure Goručan also collaborated with the Zagreb Soloists – a tour of ten
concerts all around middle Europe, performing Chopin's Piano concerto
No.1. He had performed on famous stages such as Cologne Philharmonic,
Ljubljana Philharmonic, Ernest-Ansermet hall in Geneva, Vatroslav
Lisinski hall in Zagreb… He is the winner of many prizes of music
competitions in Slovenia and abroad. In parallel, Jure Goručan is
studying percussion. At first, he studied with Professor Matija
Šmaljcelj, later with Professor Boris Šurbek, finishing his last year
on Ljubljana Music Gymnasium.
